The Vertiv Avocent® HMX 8000 Series are an IP-based high performance KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) extender that can be part of a fully-matrixed KVM solution when an HMX Advanced manager is added. The extender allows you the flexibility to locate your critical computing hardware in a secure and temperature controlled environment away from the user work station, while maintaining a pixel perfect desktop experience. The Vertiv Avocent® HMX8000 provides 4K video capability giving users access and control to computers over any distance without compromise to video and mouse performance. The Avocent® HMX8000 is an IP based, high performance KVM that eliminates distance limitations. With less than a second switching between target computers and a fully redundant system with auto failover, the HMX8000 is ideal for the broadcasting, post production and control room environments where a “many-to-many” configuration is required.
