SERIAL TO CAN CONVERTERS AND REPEATERS Fiber optic cable offers natural resistance to EMI/RFI noise and surges that commonly interfere with electrical networks on factory floors and in industrial environments. View and compare our copper to fiber converters below. Click on each model for a photo and see the Details, Specs, and Download tabs for further information about these serial to CAN converters and repeaters. CANFB - CAN COPPER TO FIBER OPTIC CONVERTER The CANFB copper to fiber converter converts CAN signals from copper to fiber and from fiber to copper. To connect two CAN devices with fiber optic cable, two Model CANFB converters are required. Copper connections are terminal block. Fiber connectors are standard ST connectors. These serial to CAN converters feature a sturdy DIN Rail mount case is 4.0 x 3.4 x 1.4 in (9.3 x 8.6 x 3.6cm). A power supply of 10-30 VDC is required. - Convert CAN Signals to Fiber and Fiber to CAN - Fiber is Naturally Resistant to Surges, Spikes and Electrical Noise - DIN Rail Mount - Terminal Block Connections for Copper - ST connectors for Fiber CAN Repeater Boosts Signal to Increase the Number of Nodes and Has Optical Isolation to Stop Surges CANOP - CAN OPTICALLY ISOLATED REPEATER The CANOP copper to fiber converter extends the node capacity of your CAN (Control Area Network) system while it protects your CAN network from component killing surges and transients. The CANOP is an optically isolated CAN repeater that provides 2000 VDC of optical isolation, which allows you to separate and protect critical segments of your system from the rest of the CAN network. The CAN connection is by terminal blocks. A power supply of 10-30 VDC is required. Model CANOP is housed in a rugged DIN-Rail mountable box, making it easy to install in an industrial cabinet.
